My poetry reading went okay. Except they hyped me up as a poet with 25 years experience without telling me. Also they took a terrible photo of me and shared it for publicity purposes during the event AND I wasn't able to stay for the whole thing because my power went out right after my performance during the break!

It was almost like the Universe said "That's enough of you, let's move on" LOL, I'm glad I did it though. Always helps to get your voice out there. Even if it was a bunch of kids from Carleton University hosting who didn't really know what they were doing.

If anything it was practice for my in person reading next week at Agincourt library where I'll be reading from my first book The Formative Years in front of some friends from my 20s who requested to come. That should be interesting.
