So because I told my supervisor at my job that I was interested, I actually have to complete a 25 hour course on HR Fundamentals for a certificate.
Should have kept my big mouth shut. LOL. I just completed a 16 hour certificate course on digital tools/programs to upgrade my skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, AI and Social Media Marketing. That was fun!
I should be able to complete the HR one in 2 or 3 weeks, then onto actually interviewing people and making decisions on my own. I have done two supervised interviews, one for accounting and one for graphic design. The graphic design one was great except for the fact that Korey jumped on my desk while I was doing it. My interviewee was like "hey he looks like Garfield!" I just laughed it off. I will never know the day that Korey doesn't jump up on things, it seems. He'll be 16 tomorrow and he's still doing that, little bugger.
I no longer volunteer at the cat place because it took up too much of my time and I wasn't being trained well, unfortunately. Better to spend my time working towards something a little more worthwhile, even though I love cats, there are millions of them around and I can't save them all.
Today's Sunday and I wanted to chill so I went to Tim Horton's and got a coffee, responded to an email from an old friend who wants to see me read one of my poems at the library sometime soon, I told her she can in April. I hate that Scarborough Poetry Club only meets two to three times a year in person.
My first poetry book that is almost a decade old, is number 3,593 in Poetry book sales on Amazon currently so people are buying it but I do not get any funds, nor get notified. I wish I knew who bought it.
